IPS International Limited is a leading provider of training and consultancy operating across the UK. We deliver a wide range of training programmes at our centres in Rochester and Dover and on our clients’ premises.
IPS are also a specialist Apprenticeship training provider and IPS Apprenticeships is the strand of our company that focuses on Apprenticeship training and recruitment.
We are looking to recruit a Heavy Vehicle Trainer / Instructor to join our Motor Vehicle Training Department.
The successful applicant must be an occupational expert, with a passion to impart knowledge to others as we will be looking for someone to deliver engaging learning sessions within a classroom environment to apprentices, beginning their careers in the Heavy Vehicle Repair & Maintenance industry.
Holding the relevant training qualifications will be an advantage for this role however, we will consider applicants working within the motor vehicle industry holding qualifications/experience of relevance, looking to move out of industry and into a training role as additional training and teaching qualifications will be offered to the right candidate.
The ideal candidate will be:
• Occupationally competent to be able to assess learners to a Level 3 in the Heavy Vehicle sector
• Holding relevant qualifications within English and mathematics, in order to support learners with Functional Skills
• Well-motivated and able to work alone and as part of the team
• You will be organised and able to plan your time effectively
• Willing to embrace changes within the industry as part of a team and move forward into the new approaches to training
• Confident to deliver stand up teaching in theory and practical sessions
• Flexible, as there could be some out of hours work necessary
• A car owner/driver for any potential visits to the learner's place of work in Kent and the surrounding areas
