An interesting new Scientific instruction from an established client and global manufacturing organisation for an Analytical Chemist where the main responsibility of the role is QC testing within the Chemistry Department.

This position is being presented on a full time, fixed term contract basis for 12 months.

Applications are urgently invited from individuals with a CHEMISTRY background as opposed to MICROBIOLOGY from entry level upwards.

You will be working Monday to Friday days only, 37.5 hours per week, between the hours of 8.30am – 4.30pm.

The primary purpose of the Analytical Chemist is to analyse Finished Products and Raw Materials to the company’s specifications, meeting statutory and regulatory customer requirements within the Good Control Laboratory Practice (GLP( and Analytical Quality Control (ACQ) framework.

Job Content will include a combination of (but not limited to):
Testing of finished products
Testing raw and incoming materials according to the appropriate specifications
Performing in process checks on bulk products both pre and post filtration as necessary
Ensuring that all laboratory equipment is routinely calibrated and is in good working order
Preparing and maintaining a range of standard solutions and bench reagents used in the quantitative and qualitative analysis of incoming samples within the cGLP framework
Recording all results as per cGMP standards
Assisting the Chemistry Lab Manager in the validation of new and existing test methods
Assisting the Chemistry Lab Manager in the investigation of out of specification samples/batches
