Due to our growth we are looking for a passionate Housekeeping Team Leader to join our dynamic and talented team in our busy Tunbridge Wells Head Office. You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the Housekeeping team making sure that the building and surrounding areas are always welcoming, clean and safe.

Responsibilities:

- Create a great working environment whilst holding the team to a high standard of housekeeping with an open, communicative and positive
attitude.
- Carry out daily premises inspections ensuring all tasks, processes and health and safety procedures are being followed.
- Plan, organise and book in scheduled deep cleaning with other departments.
- Day to day management of Housekeeping services and suppliers including procurement and supplier relations.
- Research potential developments in cleaning/ kitchen equipment that could improve our service – including ethically sourced sustainable
items, product ingredients and disposal of waste.
- Champion our sustainability journey within the Housekeeping Team.
- Oversee the care of our plants to increase employees’ wellbeing.
- Oversee stock management and liaise with Supervisor on rotas and scheduling.
- Ensure all Housekeeping team are effectively trained and that their workload is manageable.
- Timetable, lead and record regular catch ups and constructive feedback to the team.
- Responsibility for the team’s clock-cards, holiday requests, absence and overtime.
- Lead by setting a good example to the team.
- Update the Facilities Manager as necessary and hold regular catch ups with supervisor to ensure clear communication through-out the team.
- Work closely with Facilities and other Childrensalon teams with new projects.
- Live and breathe the Childrensalon Values

Skills:

- Positive attitude, energy and enthusiasm.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Good working knowledge of Housekeeping and the challenges it presents.
- Previous team management skills is preferable as you must demonstrate the ability to lead the team with an open, communicative and
positive attitude.
- Ability to manage Housekeeping suppliers to ensure we are offering the best service to our colleagues.
- Be available and approachable, offer support and guidance, with empathy, kindness and discretion.
- Passionate about helping the team and striving to improve.
- Previous experience with a stock control system is an advantage.
- Detail orientated with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritise duties in a fast-paced, deadline sensitive environment.
- Excellent work ethic , good interpersonal skills and a team player.
- Ability to think independently and effectively.
- Reliable, trustworthy, hardworking and punctual.
