Due to our growth we are looking for a passionate Housekeeping Senior to join our dynamic and talented team in our busy Tunbridge Wells Head Office. You will support and assist Housekeeping Team Leader (TL) with the day-to-day running of the Housekeeping team making sure that the building and surrounding areas are always welcoming, clean and safe.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Housekeeping TL with day-to-day team supervision
- Be first point of call for the team in TL’s absence.
- Monitor and respond to slack requests, making sure the team are responding as necessary
- Liaise with Co-ordinator to distribute or monitor daily checklists
- Lead by setting a good example to the team.
- Support a great working environment, while overseeing the team to a high standard with open, communicative and positive attitude.
- In TL’s absence, prioritize tasks depending on departments’ needs, available team and available resources
- Regular feedback to TL and Co-ordinator of workplace concerns, absences, shortages or positive outcomes
- Plan regular communication with TL and other seniors to ensure a smooth daily operation across all shifts
- Support TL in training new housekeeping assistants and supporting and monitoring their progress
- Work closely with Facilities TL’s and other Childrensalon teams.
- Notify facilities management of any repairs or Health & Safety concerns
- Live and breathe the Childrensalon Values
Skills:
- Positive attitude, energy and enthusiasm.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Good working knowledge of Housekeeping and the challenges it presents.
- Previous team management skills is preferable as you must demonstrate the ability to lead the team with an open, communicative and
positive attitude.
- Ability to manage Housekeeping suppliers to ensure we are offering the best service to our colleagues.
- Be available and approachable, offer support and guidance, with empathy, kindness and discretion.
- Passionate about helping the team and striving to improve.
- Previous experience with a stock control system is an advantage.
- Detail orientated with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritise duties in a fast-paced, deadline sensitive environment.
- Excellent work ethic , good interpersonal skills and a team player.
- Ability to think independently and effectively.
- Reliable, trustworthy, hardworking and punctual.
