Logistics Operative

My client, a fast paced, ever growing organisation is currently seeking a Logistics Operative to join their team on a full time, permanent basis in their busy Office.
Reporting into the Operations Manager, the main duties will be to ensure the product is assembled correctly and despatched to the customer within set timeframes. The ideal candidate will also help the business in providing a high level of customer service whilst remaining compliant, efficient, and cost effective.
My client is really open on experience, if you have no Logistics experience then please don't worry! Full training will be provided.
Responsibilities:
* To follow and maintain all supply chain procedures, coordinating deliveries, managing transport documentation, ensuring deliveries sent out are correct
* Stay up to date with and keep track on all quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times and transport costs
* Arrange catalogue goods, plan routes and process shipments
* Create, and review processes
* Managing customer orders and ensuring SLAs are met
* Booking collections and dealing with returns, lost deliveries, and claims
* Overseeing safety records
* Reviewing ISO/ Stock levels
Requirements:
* Experience of working within a logistics role is desired but not a deal breaker!
* Proven experience within a fast paced and demanding role
* A natural problem solver with use of own initiative
* Computer literate - the ability to use MS Excel (training provided)
* Organised with a high level of attention to detail
* Works well to tight deadlines
* Planning skills
* A team player
