The University of Kent Academies Trust are seeking to recruit enthusiastic individuals for the role of casual minibus chaperones to accompany our drivers when transporting students on a designated route on their journey to and from school. This is a relatively new service at Chatham Grammar but has already proven so popular with students and their families, that we have increased our services.

Our Drivers and Chaperones work on a rota basis between the hours of 7.30 - 9.30am for the morning school run and from 2.30 – 4.30pm for the afternoon school run. Hours will be worked on a casual basis and there will be negotiation and flexibility as to the days of the week you choose to work. Total hours worked per week varies according to availability of individuals but is not likely to exceed 20 hours per week.

A driving licence is not required for this role and full training will be given. Successful applicants will need to demonstrate that they have a calm and friendly manner, but who are confident enough to challenge any incidences of unacceptable behaviour in order to ensure the safe and happy journey to and from school. Our team of mini-bus personnel are friendly and welcoming and have a proactive and flexible approach to work.
