Warehouse Manager required for busy mail order company based in Sittingbourne
The Role
As warehouse manager you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient management and control of the warehouse operation whilst achieving the agreed budgets and service levels. You will also be responsible for organising the safe and efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of goods. As well as a practical hands on approach and at time to undertake various warehouse tasks as the business needs require.
Managers hold a strategic role and deal with the planning, coordinating, administration and general management issues including the management of staff and team leaders.
Key Responsibilities:
Contribute to the implementation of best practice warehouse vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance, as well as ensure the efficiency of the warehouse operation to be able to fulfil operational and customer demand.
To represent the company in a professional, enthusiastic and positive manner, as well as provide a safe working environment by adhering to Health, Safety and Environmental procedures and ensuring their are understood and practised by the team at all times.
Co-ordinate and monitor the receipt, storage and dispatch of goods. Ensuring inventories are accurate and control inventory levels by ensuring physical counts are conducted and reconciled with automated system utilising help of the warehouse team by ensuring the relevance and accuracy of all documentation relating to goods in and goods out including labelling of all stock items.
You will be required to review, maintain and develop KPIs, reports, process documentation and training and safety records.
In order to be successful in securing this role you will need to have proven management skills with the ability to optimise the performance and developments as well as highly developed inter-personal and communication skills coupled with the ability to negotiate and influence at all levels within the business, ability to build, lead and motivate a team and able to meet objectives and agreed targets and strong decision-making skills. knowledge of warehouse systems is desired
