This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated individual to learn at one of the best Golf Clubs in Kent. Whilst working within an experienced team, the successful individual will have the opportunity to undertake their Level 2 NVQ in Greenkeeping as well as other related qualifications. Within your two year apprenticeship your main roll will be to take part in caring for the golf course.

Using a large selection of machinery and tools from tractors and trucks to ride-on mowers and hand tools to maintain high levels of presentation. A wealth of disciplines are involved in looking after the land that the golf course is laid out on. You will be able to become experienced in Sports Turf Husbandry, Soil science, Botany, Biology, Ecology and Biodiversity, Woodland management, Irrigation, Drainage, Landscaping and of course the game of Golf.

If you already play golf, then the opportunity of complimentary golf, out of work hours is available. If you have no experience of playing golf, then the driving range is available to practice until competent enough to then play on the course. The experience gained here will allow you to pursue a profession that could take you overseas or diversify to other forms of sports turf or horticulture.

Typical hours of work: 6am-2pm

Willing to work additional hours and alternate weekend mornings, be punctual, and be physically fit.
