Due to further expansion, Burtons Medical Equipment is recruiting for a new Repair Centre Technician to join our growing dynamic Service Team.
Burtons Medical Equipment is an established company with over 40 years of industry experience in providing medical equipment into the veterinary and dental sectors. Design, manufacture, supply and after sales support are all at the forefront of our company ethos to our customers across the UK, Ireland and internationally. With over 150 employees across the group, we are dedicated and committed to offering our customers excellence in after-sales service support from our experienced teams of Regional Support Engineers, Field based Territory Managers, in-house Repair Centre Technicians through to our Head Quarters Service Office team.
Role:
The successful candidate would be responsible for carrying out customer equipment repairs, inspections, calibration, and or, annual servicing on a diverse range of Veterinary specific devices such as: multiparameter patient monitors, infusion pumps, microscopes, diagnostic sets, centrifuges, patient ventilators and more.
Key Responsibilities:
· Provide initial technical assessment of each repair, followed by a comprehensive fault diagnosis and remedy leading to the successful repair, and or, service completion
· Responsible for sourcing and liaising with suppliers for the appropriate spare parts to facilitate a successful repair or service
· Responsible for ensuring service call statuses are routinely updated throughout the repair or service life cycle via the use of the company software system, or via
direct communication with our customers
· Ensure the service delivery of all works is of a timely manner, in line with agreed SLA’s and are of the expected quality meeting the agreed company/department standards
· Ensure all works carried out conform with equipment method statements, risk
assessments and technical service bulletins
· Periodic attendance to end user sites will be required to carry out routine some planned preventative maintenance or corrective maintenance works
· Understand quality standards and assist in applying the standards in both
documentation and processes used during the service deliveries
· Heavy focus on achieving department KPI’s in collaboration with the Repair Centre Team Leader
· Provide technical support to group wide colleagues and our customers
· Ensure you are representing and promoting the Burtons Group of Companies in line with the company’s code of conduct
Key Skills:
The successful candidate would ideally have:
· Electronic and mechanical skill sets are essential. A technical qualification is preferred, ideally to a minimum of Level 3 Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a medical device related discipline however training programmes are in place to support suitable applicants
· Ability to diagnose problems with a logical and methodical approach
· Exceptional hand eye coordination and manual dexterity skills
· Capability to manage own workload and work as part of a Team
· Excellent verbal and written skills
· Excellent planning and organisational skills
· Accomplished customer service skills and experience
· Competent computer skills
· Ability to work without the need of supervision
· Strong experience in Service Dispatch preferable, but not essential

Pay & Benefits:
· Salary range £26,500 - £29,500 per annum, dependant on experience
· Full time contract, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
· Discretionary monthly bonus scheme

· 33 holiday days per year (inc. Bank Holidays)
