Do you have experience of working collaboratively within a busy team, liaising effectively with colleagues and building constructive working relationships? Are you proficient in prioritising competing responsibilities, working under pressure and meeting conflicting deadlines and targets?

If so, the opportunity to join our busy Quality Assurance and Compliance Team in the recently established Education Directorate could be just the right move for you! We are offering 2 roles – one is full time & ongoing and the other is part time (17.5 hrs pw) & fixed term (12 months).

The QA & Compliance Assistant will contribute to providing high-level quality assurance advice and guidance to Divisions and University managers in order to ensure a consistent and robust approach to compliance with internal and external quality assurance requirements and expectations.

As QA & Compliance Assistant, you will:

act as the first point of contact for the Office with a courteous and friendly manner in order to promote a positive experience for stakeholders
provide support to the student appeals process, maintaining confidentiality at all times, ensuring that student appeals are dealt with efficiently and sensitively
develop a good understanding of the University’s quality assurance framework in order to respond to queries efficiently and accurately
assist with updating the Quality Assurance and Compliance Office website
To succeed in this role you will have:

GCSEs (A-C/9-4) including maths and English, or equivalent
experience of the Microsoft Office suite of programmes, e.g., Word and Excel, and be an experienced user of email and internet
the ability to deal firmly and tactfully with students and staff at all levels
the ability to deal sensitively with confidential matters
The Education Directorate provides a range of services for staff and students that promote a high quality learning experience at Kent. These include initial and continuing professional development of academic staff, curriculum and educational development including e-learning, quality management of learning and teaching and student advice and guidance for effective learning. The mission of the Education Directorate is to promote a high quality educational experience.
