We are currently seeking to employ a competent Buying Assistant on a full-time basis for a busy Mechanical and Electrical Contractor in Maidstone.
Previous buying experience is desirable with mechanical/plumbing knowledge. This role has the potential to grow with our company.
Key responsibilities:
• Dealing with all aspects of Buying including:
o Managing all material requests and preparing purchase orders.
o Liaising with suppliers regularly regarding stock and deliveries.
o Communicating with site operatives in respect of all material requests.
o Administering documentation received from sites.
o Setting up all relevant documents for new sites.
o Following company procedures at all times.
o General administration duties including answering telephones.
The successful candidate must have exceptional organisational skills, a professional telephone manner, attention to detail, a high level of computer skills, the ability to work within a team and on their own initiative and should be able to prioritise their workload efficiently. Skills in all Microsoft office is essential.
Our company is a small successful Plumbing & Electrical Sub-Contractor based in a delightful easily accessible part of Maidstone.
Working hours will be 8:00 – 17:00 with 1 hour lunch, Monday – Friday.
Package will be discussed at interview stage.
