(CHEMISTRY SPECIALISM)

Salary: £29,915 to £41,136 +TLR2a (£2912)


Due to increasing Sixth Form numbers, the Science Department at LPGS is increasing its leadership capacity. This role will work with the Head of Faculty and Heads of Physics and Biology to ensure that Key Stage 3 is the platform from which successful science careers at Key Stages 4 and 5 are built. Science results at LPGS are already outstanding and we continue to strive to continue to secure the best possible outcomes whilst ensuring memorable and joyful learning experiences.


We require a dynamic and ambitious graduate Teacher of Science. LPGS is a thriving and academically successful school. 2020 results were the best ever at both GCSE and A-Level. The Science Department not only produces excellent results but is innovative in its curriculum design and pedagogy. This position will mainly be teaching Key Stage 3 Science and would be suitable for either experienced teachers or new entrants to the profession. Those appointed will have access to all our online CPD and team meetings in the interim so they can start to feel part of the team.


LPGS is a calm, friendly and collaborative environment which offers strong staff support. Our CPD programme gives all teachers time to pursue their own priorities. This results in a two week October half term.
