Procurement Administrator
Gillingham
Temp (3 months) to Perm
Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week
Our client are a well established manufacturing business who are continuing to grow and expand their product offering. Due to growing demands within the procurement team they are seeking a Procurement Administrator to join them.
Duties
*Purchase order follow up.
*Checking all Sales orders or Purchase Acknowledgement Orders as per the 5 Rights of Purchasing: Product, Quality, Quantity, Price, Time.
*Follow up with suppliers on the delivery of the full order or back ordered items.
*Chasing direct orders.
*Check and report any discrepancies or damaged goods or product.
*Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures and company rules.
*File and attach supplier notes to relevant PO's on CRM.
*Maintain good supplier relationships with high respect at all times for vendors.
*General Office Administration Duties.
*Provide Cover and Support for the Buyer.
*Arranging for delivery collections or courier companies communication.
Personal Specification
*Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
*Knowledge of CRM systems (Netsuite would be ideal).
*Worked in previous administration roles, include supporting customer service.
*Previous experience within a purchasing role / department would be preferred.
*Commercial awareness: business attitude and business sense that is reflected in every decision and action.
*Interpersonal skills: understands and is sensitive to the concerns and reactions to others. Ability to easily communicate with people of all levels and backgrounds.
*Project Management Skills: the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines; maintaining attention to detail.
*Planning and organising: establishing a course of action for self and others to accomplish specific goals, with a flexible attitude.
*Must drive due to location.
