Our client is looking to recruit an ambitious, commercially minded and analytical Part-Qualified Accountant with a proven technical background for a prestigious local employer. You will be involved in all aspects of accounting which will enable you to complete your professional studies.
The organisation is presently investing significantly, and part of your initial focus will be on the balance sheet, including responsibility for the fixed asset register.
Main duties
• Monitoring, analysing and reporting on project costs.
• Supporting the Finance Manager with the annual fixed asset budget
• Support the monthly management reporting process by preparing schedules and reviewing costs.
• Developing and implementing process and system controls to improve the quality of information.
• Assist in the preparation of schedules that form part of the tax computations.

To be considered for this opportunity, you should be a part-qualified (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) accountant who is looking to complete your qualification as part of your professional career development. You will likely have at least three years of experience working within a commercial finance department. Previous working experience within a construction or infrastructure business would be of particular interest.

Your technical accounting skills will be supported by strong IT and systems knowledge.
