SEND Lead (Post-16 Higher Needs Provision)

Are you an enthusiastic and forward-thinking teacher and SEND leader? With the ability to positively influence and enrich the experience of students, teachers and parents/carers alike?

If so, then we have a fantastic opportunity for a leader in education with experience of working in the post-16 sector, supporting young people with learning difficulties and/or autism.

Main aim Working alongside young people, referring agencies, families and the bemix Teaching and Supported Employment team to ensure the aims, ambitions and SEND needs of young people are heard and enabled so that a truly person centred, quality programme of education and support is experienced. You will train and develop existing colleagues SEND knowledge and skills, to enable the team to collectively take on the SEND Lead’s duties at the end of the one year post.

Part Time, 22 hours per week (to achieve consistent support, this role requires someone to work across a full calendar year)
Fixed Term Contract for 1 year
Working within Medway, Swale, Gravesham
Salary and benefits: Competitive salary, negotiable with consideration to skills and past experience. Generous 25 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays (pro rata) plus Pension Scheme
