Reporting To: Operations Director
Purpose: Managing a team of 10+ tradespersons, whom are both employed and self-employed to deliver multi-disciplined reinstatement and
refurbishment works predominantly within domestic properties and situations on target.
Leading a focused operations team of trades persons to carry out repairs, reinstatements and improvement works to domestic properties. The properties have typically suffered from design faults, insurance damage, flood, fire, or damp. This role manages the repairs and reinstatement works to these properties. Our clients are blue chip insurance companies and housing providers. The role will coordinate the team, materials, access, and health & safety procedures from start through to completion. The project values typically range from £4k to £30k with approximately 10 to 15 jobs running concurrently and at different stages of their completion.
Proactively managing jobs and ensuring that each job is delivered in line with the job specification, on time and to the best quality possible. You will be expected to find resolutions to keep projects on track whilst dealing with issues and complaints as they arise from time to time.
Working closely with customers to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction and a ‘job well done’. This role will also be dependent on good IT and communication skills, a professional proactive style, and a focus on the fine detail.
Safety, Health, Environmental & Quality standards are an important part of our contractual commitment to our clients. This role will need to ensure that projects delivered are maintained in line with our company policies and procedures.
Information Technology is pivotal to our daily job operations. Our BetaBOP job operations system will need to be kept updated and compliant. Managing your team’s commitment to using their handheld equipment which is attached to the BetaBOP system is key to the success of the role.
The role is Financially & Commercially responsible for achieving and maintaining the company’s Gross Profit Margin for each individual project. Using BetaBOP the role will manage job spend and purchases, signing off contractors and suppliers’ invoices, and checking ongoing costs. This is to ensure that all costs are managed throughout the life span of each job.
Attending weekly Management Team Meetings (MTM). The role will need to be prepared to update the meeting chaired by our Operations Director. The MTM meeting will focus on job progress and delivery, measured through several measured Key Performance Measures (KPI’s). These measures will also support your bonus scheme, they include,
• Customer Satisfaction – Measured using the Net Promotor Score
• Commercial Profitability – Maintain the companies target Gross Profit
• Compliant Health, Safety & Environment – RIDDORS & AIR scored
• Complaints – Customer Complaint Management
• Job Completion – Jobs completed on schedule
• Information Technology – Ensuring the BetaBOP system is fully updated
