Recruitment Solutions (Folkestone) Ltd has been engaged to assist with a new instruction for a Materials Planner with an established client in Ashford.

The role is being presented on a fixed term contract basis for 12 months with interviews next week (week commencing 22nd March 2021) so applications are urgently invited.

The role is split between office and working from home and we are keen to established what industry experience you have to bring to the role, plus what supply chain systems and programmes you have used.

The Position:
The Materials Planner will be required to manage inbound material supply to support the agreed production schedule whilst maintaining inventory levels to agreed targets.
The Materials Planner will create and manage mid and long-term purchasing plans (forecast analysis connected with materials) providing suppliers with forecasts.
Using MRP to balance demand and supply, creating a delivery plan that satisfies the requirements of production keeping inventory within approved limits.

The Experience we are seeking in an individual:
Any experience gained within an FMCG environment (fast moving consumer goods)].
The ability to work within a fast paced environment.
Strong IT skills especially Excel (pivot tables and formulas) with demonstrated ability to use ERP systems within a supply chain environment.
Strong analytical skills.
A comprehensive grasp of planning principles and objectives.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with colleagues throughout the business including Production Planner, Buyer
