Family Support Worker
Sittingbourne
Permanent - 37 hours per week - varied shifts
£17,000 - £18,250 per annum depending on experience/ qualifications
Company/Organisation:
A large collaborative support organisation who offer multiple support functions including: therapeutic services, community support, day services, supported living, family assessment, speech and language therapy and short break provision for both adults and children. This organisation have a fantastic reputation that has been built over the last 20 years.
The service provides specialist assessment and support services for clients/families with special needs and vulnerabilities. They are currently looking to recruit a number of Family Support Workers for their family assessment centre in Sittingbourne.
Role:
You will join a well-structured team operating out of the assessment centre; providing support to clients and their families by assisting them to achieve their personal targets. You will work with clients in line with their own specific support plan, assisting with family court matters, assisting clients to access and use centre resources. You will be required to complete a wide range of administrative duties including record keeping and report writing. You will be required to engage and work with associated professional bodies. You will carry out duties associated with safeguarding and health and safety to ensure the service environment is client focused and protective of children and vulnerable adults.
Skills / Experience required:
* Must hold a Level 3 Children & Young People Workforce Diploma - including mandatory social units.
* Must have experience providing support to families in a similar working environment
* Must be flexible across varied shift patterns:
7am-3pm, 2pm-10pm, sleep in: 10pm-7am and waking night: 9:30pm-7:30am
* Must have strong communication skills both verbal and written
* Will undergo mandatory background checks as part of the onboarding process
