Ferdinand Bilstein are a global distributor of automotive parts with 175 years of history; there is an exciting opportunity for a Category Specialist to join the fast paced Category Procurement Team.
Based in Marden, the role will be to work with Car and Truck articles for new product introduction. The role will also include supplier liaison and support the collection, and administration for all brands. You will have responsibility for a specific vehicle range. This is an opportunity to join a team at an important and exciting time.
Main duties include:
• To maintain and improve the performance of bilstein group article groups through proactive management of existing items and the introduction of new articles based on the defined business criteria for Car and Truck articles. Ensuring that interesting new articles for Car and Truck are reviewed and identified internally via bilstein group research and also from direct market feedback.
• To ensure the most suitable range and depth of products are available to our customers and that they are tailored commercially and technically where appropriate for individual markets across the world.
• The lead on assigned product groups from a technical, range, competitor and market requirement perspective within the company.
• To ensure legislation is adhered to, and collate certificates and cross reference to the bilstein group brands in such a manner to be able to provide evidence of compliance for internal and external correspondence.

Essential skills &qualifications include;
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office; particularly Excel.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- GCSE A to C Level
- This is a role of continual development so the willingness to learn is crucial.
- Has the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver to deadlines.
- Previous experience in product management or purchasing is desirable.
