Oakley School is the Tunbridge Wells District Special School for day pupils, aged from 2 to 19 years, all of whom have severe/complex needs and communication and learning difficulties.
We are seeking an outstanding full-time Teacher to join our vibrant, friendly, positive and forward-looking Team at our Satellite at Skinners’ Kent Primary School (SKPS). Candidates will be qualified teachers, ideally primary trained with SEND experience, but we would provide extensive training for the right candidate.
The successful candidate will have excellent classroom practice, enjoy team working and be willing to undertake further professional development/training. We require someone with a positive attitude, drive and enthusiasm, with a strong commitment to inclusive principles, supporting our ethos of providing a safe and positive environment for all our children and young people, enabling them to reach their full potential and develop their skills for life and independence. The postholder will also have excellent interpersonal skills as they are required to work with colleagues from both settings.
