JOB TITLE: AutoCAD/Design Engineer
DIVISION: Projects Department
LOCATION: Rochester or Dover, Kent
REPORTABLE TO: Projects Director
HOURS: 40 hours Monday to Friday

PURPOSE OF JOB:
• Produce high quality mechanical/electrical design layouts using AutoCAD/drafting software within the required timescales
• Ensure drawings and materials are technically compliant with the performance specification of the project and in line with appropriate
health & safety requirements
• Procurement of plant and equipment in accordance with project specifications
• Provide design services appropriate to project budget
• Effective communication with internal sales team and project managers to ensure that all design elements are fully integrated
• Responsible for setting up/maintaining an organised filing system for all drawings and associated templates throughout the duration of
projects.
• Ability to rationalise designs and produce economic plant layouts
• Liaising with customers/clients
• Supporting the Projects management team, as required

Qualifications & Requirements:
• Experienced and competent with AutoCAD 2D/3D, SolidWorks
• General knowledge of all aspects of plant room installations, e.g. civil engineering, process engineering, electrical engineering and project
management
• Electrical design experience with respect to wiring diagrams and installations desirable
• Knowledge of the principles of diesel standby generator installations
• Good organisational skills
• Ability to manage time and prioritise effectively
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent levels of communication at all levels
• Good verbal and written communication skills

Remuneration:
Salary is negotiable depending on the experience of the applicant
