Social Enterprise Kent has established itself over the recent past as one of the main social enterprise bodies in Kent, giving advice to many charities and budding enterprises, and running training and employment services. We also run a number of community projects, including Ageless Thanet.
Social Enterprise Kent has been successful in a recent tender to lead a new Wellbeing service, which will promote independence and wellbeing for older people (55+), in Thanet and South Kent Coast. This service is commissioned by Kent County Council, and will run for 3 years from 1st April 2021 to 31st March 2024, after which it may be extended for up to 2 years.
We are now recruiting for a new Wellbeing manager position to lead this contract. You will be responsible for managing end-to-end service delivery, including managing several external partners, project reporting and performance monitoring. You will help to support partners to transition from grants to contracts, embed effective KPI reporting, and ensure all contractual requirements are met. You will ensure that the needs of older people are embedded throughout the service, and that services adapt and innovate to meet the changing needs of older people in our communities.
We welcome applications from people of all ages and backgrounds, and those who have personal experience of some of the issues we are trying to address in Social Enterprise Kent would be especially welcomed to apply.
Location: Margate, but with regular travel to Folkestone, Romney Marsh, Hythe, Dover and Deal (and other locations in Kent). Home working for up to 2 days a week also possible. (NOTE – during COVID restrictions, the majority of SEK staff are working from home until 31st March 2021 in line with government requirements)
This position is subject to a satisfactory DBS check and 2 satisfactory references.
A full job description can be found on our website at https://sekgroup.org.uk/jobs-sek/.
To apply, please submit your CV and covering letter clearly stating the role you are applying for in the subject line to Claudia Sykes C.Sykes@sekgroup.org.uk
