This role will involve:

• Production of cost plans for recladding works

• Estimating from RIBA stage 0 initial concepts through to RIBA stage 5

• Client liaison and attending design team meetings

• Client side Valuations and certification • Reviewing and analysing Main Contractors Tender submissions

• Cost exercises for clients including Value Engineering

• Tendering Skills required are: • Experience of re claddings and fire improvements

• Preparation of Cost / Benefit analysis of design options

• Ensuring all costs are tracked & validated

• Supporting clients by producing accurate and competitive cost estimates

• Cost comparison and main contractor selection

• Tendering of large subcontract packages

• Cost control and preparation of periodic financial reconciliations, reports and forecasts

• Dealing with correspondence in relation to commercial and contractual issues

• Understanding of JCT Design and Build contracts

• Negotiation with contractors

You should also have knowledge of:

• Excel, Word

• Measurement of drawings, Cost X

• Affordable Housing • Building practices

• Building Costs
