Langley Park Primary Academy has a fantastic opportunity to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to join our highly collaborative and supportive team, as soon as possible. Our LSAs are pivotal to our success in the classroom and provide a great deal of support for our teachers, therefore our successful candidate will be able to establish strong working relationships with staff and students alike. Key responsibilities will be to work on a 1:1 basis with specific pupil(s) on a daily basis and to provide wider support to the Class Teacher in the teaching and welfare of children to attain the targets set within the National Curriculum or Individual Education Plans. Please note that previous experience working in Key Stage 1, and working with pupils with ASD is highly desirable.
This is a permanent position, offering an actual salary of £13,431 per annum (FTE £16,825) based on 35 hours per week + 1 week of inset.
Working for Langley Park Primary Academy:
We believe in – and celebrate – achievement and success in all areas of the curriculum. We want our children to learn within a culture of curiosity, enjoyment and positive approaches to new experiences and skills to enable them to become successful learners. Under the leadership of Libby Fidock, Principal at Langley, we have developed a fantastic team who welcome new members of staff with open arms!
The students think that you should work at Langley Park because:
'When we do have a new LSA we make sure that they feel very welcome and it is a very, very good school. You will get the help that you need from the teachers in the classrooms and they will always help you. We have great displays in the corridors for you to look at while you are walking around the school and if you get lost we are all very helpful students and we will help you find your way. We are very lucky because we have a large, modern, organised building which is on a friendly, happy estate so you will meet lots of new people.’ (Year 6 pupils).
