QC Intake

£21,000 - £22,000 (DOE)

Our client, a packhouse based in Linton, is currently looking for a QC Intake to join their team on a permanent basis.

The ideal candidate will have experience in working with soft fruit and will be responsible for ensuring all product arriving on site is checked against customer requirements and reported accurately.

The working hours for this role are 6.00am - 6.00pm, 4-on-4-off with some weekend work. Depending on experience, the salary for this role is £21,000 - £22,000 per annum.

Duties and Responsibilities

* Ensure that all arrivals are inspected as per the relevant intake protocol
* Ensure that all aspects of product quality are accurately reported to the customers and business
* Ensure that any temperature abuse or other issues that can seriously affect product quality are immediately reported to the customer
* Effectively communicate to customers where necessary
* To work safely and report any hazards or near misses to a Key Operative or Production Support Manager
* To work efficiently and effectively ensuring that you contribute to the daily Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) of the department as set by the Intake & Ripening Manager and the needs of the business
* To maintain high levels of hygiene and housekeeping through the clean as you go policy
* To clearly communicate between all colleagues in your team and your Line Manager in a timely manner



Personal Specification



* Must have experience of working within a similar position
* Must have experience of working with soft fruit, such as berries
* Quality Control experience
* Ability to work to challenging deadlines in a pressurised environment
* Good planning and organisational skills
* Results focussed
* Due to location, ideally you will have access to your own transport
