Hours : 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year 1 FTE
Location: Tonbridge
About the role
We are seeking to appoint a lecturer within the Sport & Public Services department who will complement our existing team. The ideal candidate will be able to inspire students to succeed through excellent subject knowledge and creative delivery of high-quality lessons.
Whether you are experienced or recently qualified in your specialism, your commitment and contribution to our continued success and development is paramount.
A passion for coaching or training to a variety of mixed abilities and age groups is ideal. Lessons will be both in and out of the classroom so teaching experience is beneficial but not essential. Qualifications in coaching, fitness or experience in the uniformed public services would also be beneficial. A level 3 qualification in an appropriate subject is essential, or substantial proven vocational experience. Level 2 English and Maths is also required.
About the team
The Sports & Public Services department encompasses professionals from sport coaching, sports science, outdoor adventure and public service backgrounds. As a department we aim to be outstanding in our delivery, with a determined focus on exceptional learner experience and consistently supporting students in their studies.
The team works at our Tonbridge campus delivering full time programmes in FE with a range of qualifications at multiple levels.
The working environment requires the candidate to have good use of initiative and the ability to sometimes work independently from the team. Excellent communication is required in all aspects of the role.
