SALARY: DOE



HOURS: 42.5 hours a week Monday - Friday with free parking and 20 days holiday + closure at Christmas

ROLE OVER VIEW:

This is a newly created role where, as the Sales Team Manager you will be responsible for the daily management of the internal Sales Team, achievement of sales objectives, and implementation of the Sales Plan. You will be responsible for helping to keep the revenue engine running through your skill and the leadership of a team of driven sales representatives. The ideal Sales Manager will have in-depth knowledge of and experience with the sales process, excelling at lead generation, relationship building and closing deals. We're seeking a quick learner with strong negotiating skills, and someone with a track record of success who can inspire the same in others. The role demands a leader with a sharp mind and the ability to coach, advise, motivate, or implement change to create and maintain a high-performance sales force.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

* In conjunction with the Commercial Manager develop realistic budgets and targets for the sales operation
* Achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully managing the sales team.
* In conjunction with the Commercial Manager use knowledge of customer requirements to develop a sales plan targeting business from contractors, consultants, and end users aimed at achieving the Company's sales objectives and growing the business
* Provide the daily management of the internal Sales Team including recruitment, training, motivation, appraisals, support, customer relationship management system, and discipline as necessary
* Manage individual and team quotas
* Create a Sales plan and proactively experiment to improve execution
* Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status
* Provide management to the internal Sales Team to meet the sales objectives and deliver excellent customer service
* Implement and administer Company existing and future initiatives
* Tailor communications of value propositions to motivate customers and differentiate from competitors
* Innovate and contribute to improve internal business/commercial practices to allow easier access for our customers to trade
* Establish Personal Development Reviews (PDRs) for the internal Sales Team to elevate their skills and capabilities, and arrange for new members of the Sales Team to receive a structured induction when joining the Company
* Responsible for planning and control of all sale's departmental expenditure within an agreed budget
* Acquire a thorough working knowledge of all the Company's products and their applications. Provide training where necessary to the internal Sales Team
* Acquaint oneself with a comprehensive knowledge of the market place and of Company's competitors and their products
* Familiarise and maintain contact with all the Company's key account customers. Plan to broaden and deepen relationships
* Liaise with the Executive Team on all issues relating to inter Group Company activity to ensure smooth business operations
* Uses sales technologies and data insight such as CRM and interfaces to effectively manage, plan and execute Sales strategy
* Attend when required to do so, meetings, exhibitions, seminars etc in connection with Company business
* Liaise when required on new product development and other issues
* As Sales Team Manager arrange and attend monthly team meetings and present reports which monitor progress against set objectives including actions to address gaps



REQUIREMENTS:



* Experience in Sales Management with proven success of meeting or exceeding business targets
* High achieving, ambitious, and results-oriented individual
* Innovative, generating original solutions and lots of ideas
* Decisive and comfortable making decisions quickly
* Demonstrate ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels
* Proven track record of successfully managing the sales cycle from plan to close
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
* Superb leadership ability including coaching skills
* Ability to use data to drive Team performance
