The Role
• Sales Ledger Clerk required for the Accounts Department in busy fresh produce distribution company
• Rating individual jobs using pre-defined pricing matrix
• Producing and sending high volume customer invoices daily
• Sending customer statements
• Customer query resolution
• Updating reports regarding daily business functions
• General administrative duties
• You will be working as part of a small friendly finance team
• Days/hours: Monday to Friday 08:30 – 17:00 hrs (30 min lunch break)
• Salary - depending on experience
• Employment will be on a permanent basis but subject to successful completion of a 12 week probationary period.
The Person
• The position requires someone who is confident and well spoken
• Excellent numeracy skills required along with a keen eye for detail
• Ability to operate computerised systems including good MS Skills (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Successful candidate should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and telephone manner
• An enthusiastic and organised approach to work is required
• Ability to work alone and to be a good team player
• Flexible approach is essential as there may be the need to cover other ad hoc Account duties as and when required
• Ideally the applicant will have experience in Sales Ledger. An accounts background is desirable but not essential
• Level 2 AAT is preferable but not essential
• Maths GCSE A* - C (or 4-9)
• English GCSE A* - C (or 4-9)
• Own transport required owing to location.
• Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
