New Appointments Group are currently partnering with an East Kent Client to help find a Workshop Technician who will provide maintenance, site services, Environmental, Health & Safety and production support as required.

This is a fantastic broad ranging role that will include modification and rework of production parts and on time delivery of parts back to production. Carry our periodic preventative equipment maintenance, perform maintenance and upgrade of the factory and production facilities to ensure conformance of operations and compliance with established standards.

This will also include an element of small building works. Performing weekly, monthly and annual routine preventive maintenance and updating information into the planned preventive maintenance system. Ensuring that all in service equipment and tooling is fit for purpose.

Liaison with suppliers and contractors for materials and prices for small building works may be required from time to time.

The successful applicant will have:

* A minimum BTEC level 3 in a mechanical or engineering discipline or other relevant qualification.
* Have the knowledge and skills of working in an engineering workshop and property maintenance environment.
* Knowledge and skills of working with machine tools.
* Computer literate including use of planned preventative maintenance systems, CAD systems such as AutoCAD (or similar) and Microsoft Office.
* Good verbal and written communication skills.
* Able to work using own initiative.
* Experience of working in a modern manufacturing environment.
