New exciting opportunity for Senior Residential Childcare workers in East Kent

We are currently looking for a new Manager for a Children's Residential Care home in Swale and East Kent. We are working with an independent children's home provider who accommodate bespoke care plans with a focus on the ability to offer family environments run by a fantastic team of dedicated staff. The children are aged between 8-18 who may have Learning Disabilities and mild EBD.
We are looking to recruit for homes in Ramsgate and Swale areas
Your new role
Successful candidates would be responsible for providing the lead in the delivery of high quality care to children and young people with complex needs. Our seniors will provide support and guidance to staff in their development of approaches to behaviours, assisting with the development of children and young people's social and emotional growth and practical support needs as required, to include meal preparation and supervision, laundry, mending, clothes, food shopping, doctor's visits, cleaning, supervision of social activities, driving escort and collection duties, and assistance with washing and bathing where additional needs may require this.
The role requires that you provide a principle support role to staff in supporting children and young people, ensuring that we can achieve the best possible outcomes for them. You will also support the child or young person alongside their own family and significant others as part of the role and will assist in developing and maintaining the child or young person's relevant and appropriate connections to family, friends and their community. On a day-to-day basis you will focus on providing environments in which children and young people can thrive. Work rota's may include night waking duty and undertaking sleeping in duties as required; you will work over a wide spectrum of hours.
Participation and assistance with Social Workers or other professional staff within the Company will be required, this may also include attendance at meetings concerning children and young people as appropriate. The role also requires you to report all matters of concern, for example, emergencies or unusual events within the home, to the management of the home.
What you'll need to succeed
NVQ Level 3 CYP/Health & Social Care or equivalent is a requirement of the role
Proven previous experience in a similar setting
Full driving licence
