Leigh Academies Trust has a rare and exciting opportunity to appoint an experienced and efficient Finance Assistant to join our friendly and vibrant team. The overarching purpose of this role is to provide a comprehensive financial support service to the Finance Manager and Finance Officers. We are looking for someone that can demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, excellent prioritisation and also accuracy and attention to detail. Please note: This is a busy position and our successful candidate will be based at Tree Tops Primary Academy for 15 hours per week and will spend the remaining 10 hours based at Paddock Wood Primary Academy. This role requires the successful candidate to travel to multiple sites as they will support our Maidstone cluster of primary schools including Paddock Wood Primary, Molehill Primary Academy, Oaks Primary Academy, Treetops Primary Academy and Langley Park Primary Academy, therefore, applicants must have a driving licence.
The working basis of this role is 25 hours per week during Term Time plus 3 weeks inset which will be agreed in advance. You will be reporting into a highly experienced Finance Manager, and our successful candidate should be able to hit the ground running with a 'can-do' attitude. This is a permanent position offering an actual salary of £10,844 - £11,393 commensurate with experience (FTE £18,113 - £19,030).
Being a part of Leigh Academies Trust: As of 1st September 2020, our Trust will comprise 28 geographically organised academies (11 secondaries, 15 primaries and 2 special) educating over 16,000 students, and employing over 2,500 talented staff. We also have one further secondary academy in the development phase, due to open in September 2021. The Trust is establishing four ‘clusters’ of academies: North West Kent; Central Kent; South East London; Medway.
