We are looking for an experienced Multi Skilled Maintenance Fitter to join our client in Sittingbourne.

Working on a rota system of 2 days (6am-6pm) then 2 Nights (6pm-6am) followed by 4 days off. Our client works on a 24/7 basis with their maintenance department also covering Bank Holidays and Sundays. Therefor you must be able to work the above pattern consistently.

Working in a heavy industrial setting, the role is very reactive and you will work in a team of two. You will be required to check all faults and failures reported to you and your knowledge will allow you to supply long term, permanent solutions and also provide intermediate solutions to limit downtime. You will be involved with all maintenance within the site, covering plant machinery, electrics, plumbing, hydraulics and pneumatics amongst other areas too.

Experience of using a MIG welder is essential and a forklift licence desirable.

This role requires you to have at least 4 years experience in a similar level role and you will take responsibility as a Lead Fitter, ensuring that the Maintenance Fitter is fully trained and developed in their skills and knowledge.

Candidates will need to have a good standard of computer literacy (MS packages) and sound written and verbal communication skills. Report writing and record keeping will form a key part of the role.
