What you’ll be doing:
We are looking for a keen and motivated hands on Infrastructure Team Lead to work in our dynamic and collaborative IT department. You will help us to manage and develop our team of Infrastructure engineers supporting the existing Infrastructure whilst delivering our new digital initiatives. This is an exciting role reporting in to the Senior Infrastructure & Operations manager, managing workload, delivering continuous improvement, and helping the team to mature and grow.
As well as direct line management responsibility for the team, the role will work closely with other IT colleagues and key business stakeholders, helping with workload scheduling and prioritisation, and ensuring that the team continues to meet the demands of its customers.
The role will act as a point of contact within the team and work with peers within the department, helping to manage major incidents and problems according to ITIL best practice.

As a line manager, the role will be work with direct reports and perform 1-2-1 meetings, appraisals, recruitment and design personal training and development plans.

You will have:
Leadership experience in a similar role working in an ITIL environment, managing technical staff. You will have experience of BAU support, and working alongside project teams in helping to deliver infrastructure and software development projects, and their transition into support.
You will have a strong current technical background and be very comfortable managing staff, working with customers, and accustomed to delivering pragmatic resolutions to a variety of challenges, with a proven track record of delivering CSI initiatives.
We are looking for a self starter and strong team player who is hard working, with excellent attention to detail and who enjoys giving that extra bit to complete their workload effectively. The person needs to be result-oriented and able to adapt to fast changing environments.
