Interior Architect Designer
Job brief:
We are looking for an Interior Architect Designer who has proven experience for high end residential projects. Who has a drive, passion and energy to take their career and our business to a new level. You will be working directly for and with the Creative Director and assisting on all projects. In our studio, you have the opportunity to build on an excellent brand and portfolio, to gain exposure with clients and work on all aspects of the interior design process.

Responsibilities:

• Working to a brief, which details what the space will be used for
• Outline the client’s objectives and conceptualize these
• Inspecting and surveying buildings
• Setting schedules for the project
• Drawing up rough plans using architectural rules of thumb and design practices to produce optimum floor plans and room designs
• Good with figures and comfortable attaining estimates from suppliers and contractors
• Producing accurate drawings to scale and working drawings for internal layouts
• Developing detailed designs and choosing materials
• Supervise the work, as it is carried out
• Inspect design after completion to determine whether client goals have been met
• Creating presentation layouts.
• Liaise with architects, engineers, builders and other consultants to gather product and structural requirements and designs
• Create detailed designs with computer-aided design (CAD) software – preferably Vector works
• Prepare and review rough sketches and review them along with the team
• Ensure final designs comply with regulations and quality standards

Requirements:

• Proven work experience as an Interior Designer / Interior Architect
• A natural flair for creativity with an attention to detail
• Highly organised
• Comfortable with kitchen and bathroom planning
• Hands-on experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software preferably vector works
• Ability to meet deadlines
• BSc in Architecture, Interior Design or degree from a technical college (not essential)
• Vector works 2d/3d renders
• Photoshop to create more realistic 2D and 3D renders
• All Microsoft applications – must have good working experience with Excel to work on pricing and schedules and specifications
• Hand sketching skills and flair for drawing
• Take client briefs and writing scope of works
• Measure and then draw site surveys, taking full photographic records and maintaining records
• Propose solutions to the design problems through spatial planning and architectural design
• Write tenders and costings
• Prepare detailed schedules and specifications for finishes, materials, working out quantities
• Attend site visits, check progress, write minutes, dealing with various parties involved in a project
• Keeping accurate records of communications and variations.
• Project coordination, liaising and scheduling various trades including snagging and installation
• Experience in project organisation and coordination from concept to installation
• Excellent organisational skills to support the studio
• Meticulous eye for detail. Be able to work autonomously displaying an attitude of challenging yourself to go the ‘extra mile’
• Ability to meet with clients, communicate effectively and take design briefs, with a natural desire to provide excellent customer service
• Worked with Autocad daily and highly skilled, to produce interior drawings of 2D plans, elevations, detailed joinery drawings, technical drawings, lighting schedules and 2D rendered plans and elevations
