Our long established client, based in the Maidstone area, is looking for a key member of staff to join their busy Purchasing team with an immediate start.
The role is to own and manage the organisations supply chain from procuring products through to supplier relationships. This entails responsibility for the hundreds of products that the company provide in its range, to include negotiating best-value with the supply chain.
The role has a wider scope to include supporting supplier negotiations in relation to advertising revenues, rebate payments for volumes of the products that they sell, promotional offers to launch new ranges and for other paid-opportunities from the Supply-chain.
Experience in contract management and procurement is essential as is the ability to negotiate effectively to deliver critical savings in purchasing, whilst also gaining long-term commitment from suppliers in difficult markets.
The hours of work are 8.30am - 4.30pm Monday to Friday. You will initially be working from home. This is initially a temporary role with a view to becoming permanent after a qualifying period
