Associate Specialist (Settlement Services)

12M FTC

Up to £28,000 (Mon-Fri)

Medway



My client, a well reputed and established company are looking for a Settlements Specialist to join them on a 12-month fixed term contract.



This is a great opportunity for a proactive professional looking for a new challenge within a business that is globally admired, recognised and respected!



Duties Include;

* Reviewing all day to day team activities ensuring a wide range of support is given as required by members, third party providers and regulators
* Receiving and validating stock market trades ensuring that all deadlines within the specified international market are met
* Managing all associated tasks to open a Unit Trust Account by liaising with members, Investment and Fund managers to ensure an efficient completion for investments into new Funds
* Identify all risks and discrepancies by communicating any changes with the ability to resolve any queries from stake holders
* Ensuring all deadlines are met with the company service levels & that any risks are managed effectively, identifying and escalating all queries to senior members of the team
* Adhering to international market rules for settlements ensuring Financial crime and anti-money laundering legislations are met in compliance with Trustee obligations
* Working to strict market deadlines and service standards for the investment of Trust cash on the overnight money markets



The successful candidate will be/ have;

* From a Financial Services background with solid Settlements experience
* Good numeracy and attention to detail
* Confident in working to multiple fixed deadlines
* Basic Excel knowledge
* Experience of stakeholder engagement, financial and operational risk and knowledge of Financial crime, AML & CASS
* Strong influencing and negotiation skills
* Ability to react to and support continual changes in market conditions, policies and process improvements
* Review and Evaluation skills
* Knowledge of Financial markets and the UK and Global settlements processes
* A Certificate/ Qualification in CISI Investment or ICA Anti Money Laundering and Financial Crime
