An exciting new opportunity has become available for an experienced Supply Planner with an established global manufacturing client and key employer within the area.
This role is being presented on a fixed term contract basis for 18 months.
The position is a critical role within the business and therefore the client will be initially completing first stage interviews over the telephone or web based, prior to proceeding to meet anyone face to face.
Key requirements we are looking for:
Previous Supply Planning experience.
Previous experience using SAP
Ideally an industry as close to FMCG/pharma as possible
High level of general computer literacy including spreadsheets, databases & presentations.
Excellent communications skills and the ability to communicate information across the business.
French language skills considered helpful but NOT essential.
Main Purpose of the Role:
This role will focus on supply planning of allocated brands for global supply of co-packed items (ie. finished products made by external suppliers) and will require a flexible, proactive approach, plus the ability to deal with ambiguous information on multiple items, which can frequently change and at short notice.
The Supply Planner will be key in supplies and inventory management for
worldwide based distributors.
You will have specific responsibility for issuing supply plans to co-packers, placing replenishment orders and ensuring these are delivered on time, expedited or delayed as necessary with all information kept up to date on SAP and communicated to key stakeholders throughout the business
The Ideal Candidate:
Knowledge and expertise of MRP list management in SAP.
Experience of placing orders using SAP and following up with suppliers.
High levels of numeracy.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
Experience within a commercial supply planning role
High levels of computer literacy including spreadsheets, databases, presentations.
Experience in multi-national organisation with cross border team working.
Key Responsibilities & Regular Duties:
You will be responsible for the supply planning of co-packed items.
You will liaise with global distributors to gather forecast information.
You will prepare supply plans, raise purchase orders and follow these through with training partners and co-packers proactively.
Work to minimise obsolescence and maximise customer service using SAP and other sources of information.
Monitor stock levels vs inventory targets, working proactively with Supply Chain Planning Manager to optimise inventory through distribution centres.
Act as key point of contact with external distributors for the products in your allocated brands.
Work with Project Buyers and PMO team to integrate new products into the supply plan in good time.
Ensure regular housekeeping or MRP lists on SAP is in place
Data input and reporting on SAP.
Authorisation of component purchases by co-packers and tracking of inventory held,
Ownership of abnormal demand tracker (forecast changes in frozen period) and processing accepted abnormal demands for your brands within SAP.
Active participation in monthly, Supply meetings including content preparation and note taking.
Working to support and reinforce the S&OP meeting
KPI reporting.
Cross working with global teams.
International travel possible.
Some of these responsibilities will be shared with another Supply Planner thus the workload will be shared between you, but you will each have specific brands allocated to you.
