As Product Designer your main responsibility will be to research, design and prototype market-leading digital products for our client, an SaaS company specialising in digital publishing solutions.

You will work as part of the product team alongside Product Managers, Developers and UX designers and will be expected to play a key role in defining the overall user experience and user interface of their products.

Responsibilities
● Gathering and evaluating user requirements, in collaboration with the product team
● Illustrating design ideas using user journey maps, storyboards, process flows
● Prototyping solutions to facilitate user testing, communication and client sign off
● Designing graphic user interface elements and owning the development of the design system for your products
● Collaborating with the development team to prioritise and plan work and determine the best implementation methods
● Liaising with the Sales, Marketing and Support teams to develop and optimise the product in line with the needs of all sides of the business
● Attending client meetings and workshops to present and explain design decisions, and working with clients to integrate their feedback on a project or product basis

Key areas of focus

Product Vision
As part of the Product Team, define and drive the User Experience, User Interface and graphic design for both the core products and any new product development.
Run workshops, design sprints and product discovery sessions to drive innovation and focus on the end user, constantly iterating and improving products.
Establish, update and maintain the Design System for your products, ensuring that it conforms to standards and best practice. Communicate and evangelise the value of a Design System within the company.

Research and innovation
Through thorough research, interrogation of data and understanding of markets, drive the design of products to ensure that they are in line with, or better than, the competition.
Actively keep up with trends in digital product design, communicate back to the team and the company on your findings and attend meetups and conferences as required.
Be recognised as an expert in your area and partner with stakeholders to deliver world-class user experiences that generate value for the company and clients.

External clients
Work with clients in the sales and on-boarding process to understand their brand guidelines, design principles and competitors, and use that information to inform product design and development.
As part of a project team, be responsible for the delivery of client projects on time and on budget and lead by example by being positive and proactive at all times.
