Hay's are currently working with a well-established child home organisation. They recognise the importance of investing in and retaining quality (senior) support workers and offer high quality training, with frequent support as well as a specialist independent consultation. This organisation provides high quality care and substitute parenting for children experiencing a range of behavioural or emotional difficulties. This job can go temporary to permanent.

Your new role

As your new job as a senior, you will plan, manage and lead shifts ensuring that the children are kept safe and engaged all day. In accordance with plans for the day you will organise and supervise recreational and leisure activities both in and out of the home, to provide the children with an interesting and stimulating life. You will develop and maintain good working relationships with parents, social workers, schools and other professionals concerned with the well-being of the young people. You will also need to ensure that the placement plan for each child is adhered to at all time whilst also ensuring that the education of the child is promoted and supported so that the child's attendance within education is maintained.

What you'll need to succeed

To succeed in this role, you will ideally need a NVQ level 3, and have some experience of a residential setting. It is essential that you are a driver and that you have at least 6 months recent experience within the last two years.
