SALARY £41,820 to £49,200 per annum
JOB LOCATION: London - More London Place
HOURS: 36 hours per week
CONTRACT TYPE: Permanent
We're recruiting for a Contracts and Projects Lawyer and are looking for exceptional people to apply. You'll be based at our More London Place office, however regular travel across our London offices will be required.
You'll be responsible for providing high quality proactive, solution focused legal advice and support in a diverse range of areas including procurement, commercial contracts, construction contracts, contract management, dispute resolution, commercial risks, governance and other legal matters to all internal clients, in particular, but not limited to, procurement, development and governance.
Other responsibilities will include but not limited to:
* Assisting in the drafting amendments to standard form contracts, bonds, guarantees and collateral warranties, consultant appointments and due diligence of construction documentation on commercial transactions.
* Providing advice on legal issues arising from management of construction contracts including but not limited to construction disputes, referring any complex issues to the Senior Contracts Lawyer
* To assist in the development of and to implement processes and procedures to ensure the efficient and effective provision of services across Clarion and its Group partners. To comply with the approved processes and procedures, including maintaining such data records and registers as required by the Principal Lawyer.
* To support the paralegals and legal support officers within the Contracts Team.
To be successful in this role we'll require you to have significant experience as a qualified Solicitor or Barrister with good commercial and contract law experience.
Ideally, you'll have experience of working in a housing association, public sector body or other housing environment and of working within a Lexcel accredited (or similar quality standard) environment.
