The Best Connection Employment Group are currently recruiting for a number of experienced Ground Maintenance Operatives to begin working for our client based in Medway, Kent.

This work is an ongoing opportunity until October 2020. After this period, there will be opportunities to be offered a permanent role within the company.

You will be expected to work from Monday to Friday from 07:00 - 16:30. There will also be weekend overtime available.

Candidates must hold a valid driving licence as the job will involve operating a work van to travel in crews to different locations across Medway.

You will be responsible for and have some experience in the following:

- Managing the upkeep of local green spaces as well as highways
- Operating machinery such as hedge cutters, strimmers and tractor flails (if experienced)
- Providing high levels of customer service to your local community
- Maintaining high levels of Health and Safety across your various spaces
- Preserving and sustaining machinery

Candidates applying for the role must have knowledge and experience in the role previously and have some of the following:

- Background in Turf Care, Horticultrue or similar job roles
- Experience with Grounds Maintenance Equipment
- Knowledge of Health and Safety protocols (COSHH)
- Knowledge or training in PA1/PA6 Safe Handling & Application of Pesticides
- Hold a valid driving licence

Other qualifications but not essential are:
- Lantra Tickets
- NRSW Tickets
- NVW in Landscape/Ground Maintenance

The hourly pay will vary dependent on tickets held and previous experience. However, this will be confirmed with you prior to offering you the role.
