Engineering Teacher Needed

June 2020 Start (Maternity Contract)
£120.00 - £200.00 p/day (dependant on experience)

This secondary academy is looking for a teacher of Engineering. This maternity contract starts in June 2020 and would likely continue until December 2020.

This job will offer the opportunity to teach Engineering on a GCSE timetable. Students learn Engineering as part of DT on a varied curriculum including Food Technology, Resistant Materials and Product Design. Pupils are very engaged in DT subjects and with an experienced staff team and head of department on offer this could make a very good role for the right teacher.

The successful teacher will find a good scheme of work and lesson plans ready to use. They will be encouraged to develop them and eventually plan and prepare their own work. Teachers at this school are challenged and encouraged to achieve the best possible teaching and therefore the greatest outcomes for their students.

In order to be considered for this role you must have:

* A good understanding of the Engineering curriculum at GCSE level
* Ability to inspire students in the classroom
* Ability to teach mixed ability classes
* Willingness to embrace new teaching technologies
