This is an exciting opportunity for a Key Account Manager to join our client, a leading provider of high quality innovative educational products to school suppliers all over the world.

The Key Account Manager will be responsible for managing accounts with existing customers, building strong customer relationships and developing sales opportunities with new and existing customers.

The jobholder will play a key role in the promotion and development of products. He or she will be expected to undertake sales order analysis that contributes to future sales strategy and product ranges.

The main accountabilities of this role are: -

1. To manage accounts with existing customers. To develop and maintain positive customer relationships through regular communication, site visits and attending trade shows. To provide customers with accurate product and order information. To achieve sales and margin targets.

2. To identify and develop new sales opportunities with new and existing customers. To ensure all new sales leads and opportunities are followed up efficiently and effectively. To achieve sales and margin targets.

3. To promote the most suitable, best selling and new products to customers. To ensure customers are provided with new marketing and promotional material support.

4. To obtain customer information on new products requirements as an input to the research and development process.

5. To provide market and competitor analysis. To also undertake customer account analysis.

6. To ensure that all sales order and customer information is maintained and updated into the sales management system accurately and efficiently.

The candidate:

• Experience in a sales account management role.
• Experience of building and developing customer relationships
• Experience of identifying and developing new sales opportunities
• Excellent customer service, sales and negotiation skills
• Computer literate, including the use of customer account systems
• Excellent communications skills, with a creative and outgoing personality and a degree of common sense
• The ability to organise and manage your time effectively
• An attention to detail
• The ability to retain and analyse information
• Reliability, punctuality and honesty
• Possess a full UK driving license
