Junior Procurement Manager

Tonbridge

£30-35k DOE

Hours for this role are 7.30am - 4.30pm Monday to Friday.

If successful you will be expected to:

* Achieve continuous cost reductions whilst improving or maintaining quality and reliability
* Control stock holding
* Continuously look for new methods and solutions that can improve the supply chain
* Manage and develop internal resources
* Develop strong relationships with various internal teams supporting them to meet their company objectives and goals
* Continuously monitoring and reporting on future markets and trends (prices, shortages, changes in suppliers etc.)
* Identify and manage critical materials and services required to support company strategy in key performance areas
* Developed supply options and contingency plans supporting the company plan
* Have a diverse and globally competitive supply chain developing strategic partnerships with key suppliers
* Focused on real time demand - efficient and lean purchasing, manufacturing and delivery reducing customer lead times and improving effectiveness and quality

You will have/be:

* Strong procurement and purchasing experience within an SME
* A good all round understanding of Supply Chain
* Excellent communication skills
* Happy to work at an operational level, but capable of strategic development too
* Outstanding interpersonal skills
* Positive, flexible and reliable

You will become part of an exciting and fast paced team. This is a busy and varied role, requiring someone who is happy to undertake an ever changing work load and remit.
