About us:
We are looking to appoint a Life Skills Assistant Manager to lead the team at our \'Art at the Farm\' Life Skills Service.
Canterbury Oast Trust takes pride in providing good quality care and support within residential and community settings across Kent and East Sussex for adults with learning disabilities.
We also provide development opportunities and accredited training courses for adults with learning disabilities in a variety of vocational subjects and settings through our Life Skills Service where students can develop their skills in a supportive real life setting.
The Role:
You will support the Life Skills Area Manager in all aspects of the day-to-day operation of the Art at the Farm Life Skills Service whilst ensuring students are enabled to reach their identified accredited training, well-being or complex activities from the services training initiatives and opportunities. You will be required to deputise in the absence of the Life Skills Area Manager.
This post is being offered on a permanent; part-time contract of 22.5 hours per week worked over three days There may be a requirement to work occasional weekends to cover/attend events.
About You:
To be a successful Life Skills Assistant Manager you will need:
o 2 Years practical experience within Art and Crafts
o Ability to provide direction and motivate a team
o Level 2 Arts and Crafts qualification or equivalent
o Experience of working with adults who have a learning disability
Life Skills Assistant Manager Benefits include:
