Our client is an independent, family owned restaurant based within the heart of Whitstable. Boasting a Taste of Kent award for the best Bistro/Kent Dining of the year, our client is not shy in achieving perfection within the catering industry. They currently have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced, reliable and passionate Sous Chef to come and join their team.
The successful candidate will have experience of a role in a similar position. With Knowledge of cooking using fresh ingredients and being able to step in when needed and control a kitchen. You will also have extensive knowledge on health and safety regulations and will be able to work to a quick and efficient pace, with the quality of work not being affected. Our Client is proud to showcase the best seasonal ingredients sourced from local farms, allotments, fisherman and producers in Kent and the South East.
The position its self will be working 6 shifts a week. Which will be a mixture of doubles and single shifts. Double shifts will be completed between the days of Monday-Friday. The Salary for the role will be between £26000-£28000 DOE.
This role will suit someone that is looking for a new challenge within the industry. Someone that has previous experience in high level restaurants/Bistro kitchens. Someone that is passionate about cooking and looking to present that high level of experience in a well-established high class bistro.
