Support Worker Job - Chatham area, must be able to drive, Part time

Your new role
We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Support Worker to provide a high quality and responsive accommodation based support service in order to assist service users to develop the personal and social skills that will enable them to maintain their accommodation, improve their health and wellbeing, improve their employability and financial inclusion and decrease any negative impact of their behaviour within/on their locality.

You will carry out regular assessments and reviews of needs on a casework basis, conduct key work sessions and develop support plans to actively identify and enable service users to secure appropriate support from partners including physical and mental health services, drug and alcohol services and employment, training and resettlement services.

What you'll need to succeed
You must have 6 month's experience of working with a number of client groups including young people, homeless people/families, people with mental health problems, or people with learning disabilities. Knowledge and understanding of the benefits system is required, and experience of supported housing would also be an advantage.

You will be passionate about providing excellent customer service to our customers and other stakeholders. You will also have excellent communication and report writing skills, with a proven background of working with basic IT and housing systems. Out of hours working may be required to meet the needs of our tenants
