Job Purpose:

This is a supervisory role having responsibility for a small team of employees within the Loading Bay on site.
Key Tasks/Responsibilities:

The main duties of the role are:

Ensuring the loading team is correctly resourced at all times by managing available staff versus work load at site and moving them between sites if required.

To ensure the products are stored and moved correctly, safely and in line with company standards.

Maintain full warehouse utilisation by planning racking space and floor space, seeking advice from the Operations Manager or Supply Chain manager if in doubt.

To manage stock returns into the warehouse, including documentation, QA clearance and liaising with Supply Chain to ensuring proper recoding on the system.

To ensure all incoming Raw material is labelled correctly and relocated according to instruction from the buying team.

Weekly stock check of Raw material at Foods and issuing of report to Foods buying team

To ensure the safety of oneself and others at all times and adhere to good health and safety practice

Person Specification:

Experience:
• Previous experience within a Warehouse Supervisory role is essential
• Previous experience within a food manufacturing environment is desirable
Knowledge:
• Knowledge of working in a warehouse environment
• Knowledge and understanding of IT Stock control systems and the importance of accurate record keeping.
Skills:
• Counter Balance and High Reach Fork Lift Truck licenses with substantial current and previous experience are essential
• Good communication skills both verbal and written and the ability to communicate with people at all levels within the organisation
• Good team working skills
• The ability to delegate tasks
• Good problem-solving skills
• Can work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• The ability to supervise and motivate a team
