JOB OPPORTUNITY
Job Title: Visitor Centre Manager
Permanent full-time
Closing Date: Midday on Tuesday 4th February 2020
Interview Date: Friday 14th February 2020
Salary Range: £19,370 to £24,608 per annum
Based at: Romney Marsh Visitor Centre
The Job: The post holder will be responsible for delivering a great visitor experience and successful commercial operation at Romney Marsh, and providing support to other locations as part of a team. This is an interesting and challenging opportunity to work with this busy charity and help connect people with nature. You’ll be working to maximise the potential of this centre, developing the nature park, driving the commercial business forward and leading the team of staff and volunteers. You'll be optimising every opportunity to generate income, being hands on, willing to roll your sleeves up and get stuck in. You'll be involved in engaging the local community as well as ensuring that the centre and nature park are safe and secure. You’ll also provide support to supervisors at other centres, helping them to get the best from the business.
You: As an experienced manager, you will be able to inspire people to deliver fantastic customer service, to exceed targets and understand how this contributes to our wider work. Able to work independently, you’ll enjoy providing excellent customer service and achieving targets. You will be able to demonstrate great organisational skills, taking a flexible and creative approach to challenges. A confident communicator, you’ll have strong interpersonal skills with visitors, volunteers and colleagues, with the ability to build and maintain successful relationships with partners and stakeholders. Experience of budget management and the ability to oversee health and safety, food safety and compliance measures is also essential.
