Our client is a national charity supporting people with autism, learning disabilities and mental health needs. We are recruiting caring & enthusiastic support workers to help interesting, diverse people access the community. If you are passionate about helping others achieve their goals apply now to work flexible shifts at our client’s Maidstone supported living and residential schemes.
Your days will be rewarding. One day you might find yourself with people whose interests include computer games and pottering in the garden. Another day you might be with a small group who enjoy a meal at the pub or being entertained at music therapy singing and playing instruments! The next day you might be supporting a group bingo session, getting involved in arts and crafts and playing board games.

What does the role look like?
•Accompanying clients to social activities and appointments
•Enabling clients to become more independent
•Building supportive, trusting relationships
•Working proactively with other members of the team and being a team player
•Being a good verbal and written communicator
•Supporting with meal preparation, personal care and household activities
Do I need experience?
We would prefer 6 months’ experience but if you believe you have squeezed 6 months’ experience into 3, come and talk to us! Mostly you need to have a big heart and the ability to really care about the people you will be supporting.
